WHAT IF SOMEONE HAS FOOD ALLERGIES. WILL THIS BE A PROBLEM?

Ingredients information will accompany each confection assortment delivered. Please make sure to read this before eating. If you or your gift recipient has an allergy to any nuts, Yellow Cashmere may not be the right match.

We cannot 100% guarantee that all of our non-nut-based chocolates are totally nut-free since all our chocolates are made in one space; it is possible that our non-nut based chocolates may contain nut traces. We work with almonds, hazelnuts, pecans, brazils, walnuts, pistachios. We do not currently work with peanuts.

WHERE DO YOU SOURCE YOUR CHOCOLATE?

As do most artisan chocolatiers, we work with finest quality "couverture" chocolate. We selected top quality Valrhona. “Valrhona not only puts great effort into preserving cocoa with great aromatic potential but also works very hard to have a positive impact on the communities in which the cocoa is produced. To achieve these goals, their cocoa strategy is based on 4 pillars: Quality, Innovation, Sustainability, Ethics & Respect of the environment. From bean to bar, Valhrona is authentic to the location of its origin, incorporates the very freshest, richest local beans, local sugar (& milk, if milk chocolate). Then it comes to Yellow Cashmere for tempering and creation.

ARE YOUR CHOCOLATES GLUTEN-FREE?

ALL chocolate is naturally gluten-free.

Yes.

We are delighted to offer delicious Vegan versions of YELLOW CASHMERE confections for subscribers. Simply check the “VEGAN” choice when you purchase Surprise Subscriptions.

ARE YOUR CHOCOLATES SUGAR-FREE?

Sugar-Free can be created as Special Order through our Bespoke Custom Chocolates option.

ORDER AND SHIPPING INQUIRIES

AFTER SUBSCRIBING, WHEN WILL I/WE GET THE FIRST DELIVERY?

For the chocolate season (deliveries October through May), all SURPRISE SUBSCRIPTIONS and GIFT SURPRISE SUBSCRIPTIONS purchased by the 20th of a month (beginning September of each year), will be delivered within the second week of the following month. If you subscribe after the 20th, your first box will come the next month within the second week.

The cutoff date for new SURPRISE SUBSCRIPTIONS and GIFT SURPRISE SUBSCRIPTIONS is on the 20th of every month.

If you have an immediate need for a GIFT SURPRISE SUBSCRIPTION, purchasers can send a Gift Card via email or print out a gift card.

CAN I INCLUDE A MESSAGE WITH A GIFT SUBSCRIPTION?

YES. And, you get to choose the look of the Gift Card you send. See “GIFT SURPRISE SUBSCRIPTIONS.” You can easily prepare your gift card and message with each gift order.

HOW WILL YOU SHIP EACH BOX TO AVOID MELTING IN HOT SEASONS?

At this time we are not shipping during the warmer months. The risk of anything less than perfection, and the high-cost of ice packs and overnight shipping prohibit us from offering chocolates to be shipped during June through September.

CAN I ORDER MORE THAN ONE BOX IN THE SAME SUBSCRIPTION?

Not yet. As a charter subscriber, you are growing with us. Sometime in the future we expect to offer the option of multiple quantities of boxes for each subscription. But for now, it is one 8 oz. box of 16 confections exotiques per subscription. If that is not enough for your chocolate cravings, some people have suggested simply signing up for additional subscriptions. When a multiple box order option becomes available, we will announce it to everyone on the eNews list.

CAN I SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?

We cannot ship internationally at this time. If you have an interest in this, we are happy to look into it.

HOW DO I TRACK MY PACKAGE?

When you complete an order online, you will receive an email when your chocolates ship. This email will contain the tracking number.

DO PACKAGES REQUIRE A SIGNATURE?

All of our packages do not require a signature.

WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?

Since all of our chocolate confections are handmade, perishable items, they are non-returnable and non-refundable.

WHAT IS THE SHELF LIFE OF THE CHOCOLATES?

Yellow Cashmere chocolate confections are made pure, fresh, all-natural real ingredients and should be enjoyed within the following:
- 2 weeks or less for fresh truffles or ganaches.
- 1-2 months for traditional chocolates

Haigaz Farajian, our Chocolatier Extraordinaire, is the primary difference. He is a gastronomical artist and world traveler, who speaks four languages, with deep Lebanese/Armenian familial and cultural roots tapped into the beauty and delight of extraordinary confections. Inspired and skilled, he creates mouth-watering feeling-inducing taste combinations in fresh, gourmet chocolate confections that are beyond compare. The design, textures, and flavors of his confections are created to appeal to all the senses, using exotic ingredients from around the world and seasonal ingredients from his own garden or sourced from local farmers’ markets. For maximum freshness and flavor fullness, everything is lovingly handmade in small-batches. All of our artisan handmade chocolates are made in either our Ojai or Westside Los Angeles chocolate kitchens.
